What is remote support?
Remote support is like having a PC repair guy in your home but without the hassle (or the cups of tea).
With your permission, we can connect to you, have a look at the problems you need help with and fix it, just as if we were sitting in front of the PC.
When we have finished fixing your problem, we disconnect.
We do it for our mums, dads, family and friends, and now we can do it for you. *
Is it safe?
The general perception that people have is that a remote access product is a high risk to your system, but if you are running Windows XP onwards then chances are the functionality is already present.
There are numerous benefits to remote support:
- The process is simple and secure with no engineer visit to your home.
- No footprint is left on your system after we disconnect. **
- You can regain control of your PC at any point.
- The service enables us, with your permission, to remotely control your PC and help with a particular issue or to show you how to do something.
- Our intentions are purely to assist and we will never deliberately harm your system - that is an inub promise.
Whilst we always aim to ensure your data is secure, we recommend that our customers make regular backups of their data and it is a requirement of our service that your important files are backed up prior to a support session.
An inub engineer will always make a system restore point prior to carrying out any work, but given that malicious code is inherently destructive, we cannot be responsible for any damage caused to your system files and personal data as a result of any Virus or malicious software removal.

What is covered in the price?
One Time Fix
The one time fix allows for 1 remote support session to fix a single problem.
Basic Plan
The Basic plan includes the installation of the inub calling card for quick and easy help requests and one remote support session per month. ***
Ultra Plan
The Ultra plan has the benefit of fast support through the inub calling card and up to 2 remote support sessions per month. **
What is a calling card?
The inub calling card is a small application that subscribers to our basic and ultra packages can benefit from.
It allows our customers to request help with just a few clicks rather than having to go to our website and filling in their details every time.
You just need to enter your name and email address to request support.
It's that easy!
How do I pay?
One Time Fix
For our one time fix, we invoice you after the work is carried out. If we cannot fix the problem, we do not charge you.
We send you an email invoice containing a link to pay online.
You do not need to have a Paypal account as their service allows secure payment without registration.
Paypal is one of the biggest online payment providers, so you know the transaction is safe.
Subscription Packages
For our Subscription customers, please sign up on our get help page by clicking the "subscribe" button.
Subscription packages are subject to a 12 month contract and payment is taken by Direct Debit.
You do not need a Paypal account in order to sign up - there is a link to pay by credit card.
Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for further details.
How much bandwidth is required to use your service?
According to our software providers, at idle (not during a remote session), the inub client generates about 200 bytes a minute on every target computer. It just "pings" the gateway to tell it that the inub client computer is still online.
For connecting and doing non-remote control work, any always-on internet connection is sufficient.
For a remote control session, we recommend at least 10 KB/s (that's KBytes, not Kbits) or higher connection on each end.
Remote control performance depends on the screen resolution and colour depth, plus available bandwidth, but 10-12KB should be okay.
Anything above 30-40KB/s should provide a decent remote control experience.
If you are unsure of your connection speed, or just want to check, please go here, and run a speed test. The result will be given in Kilobits (Kb), and to convert it to KiloBytes, please divide the result by 8.
