Based in Somerset, inub was setup by Andrew Sturges, a computing graduate from the University of Greenwich, who spotted the need for an IT support company for end users.
After working as Head of IT for a care home group, Andrew learnt that a large number of everyday users were having difficulties with their PC's at home and lacked the support and guidance they desperately needed.
With the rise in scareware, malware and other malicious software, there is a growing need for a better understanding on how to protect yourself from these online threats. Symantec recently released an Internet Security Threat Report white paper detailing the rise in new threats over the past year. In 2008 there was a 165% rise in malicious signature codes compared with 2007, and these figures are expected to rise over the coming years.
This is extremely worrying, especially as more and more users go online for their banking and social networking needs. Cyber crime is becoming big business and we should do all we can to combat it.
Companies that offer remote support for business' are common but no single company offers the same service for the everyday problems that normal users experience.
With his knowledge of remote support from a business perspective, Andrew set up inub in October 2009 to give home users the help they need at a price they can afford.

As a remote support company, we do not send an engineer to visit your premises, nor do you come to us.
We use a piece of software based on a very clever technology which enables us to remotely control your machine wherever you are in the world.
The process is safe and secure and you can regain control at any point in time.
The work we carry out is visible to you and when we disconnect, no footprint (software) is left behind (unless you require our calling card).
